Astrachem

Astrachem In 1996, after eight years of success, Astra Agricultural took a step towards further integration and diversification by setting up its own state of the art plant "Astrachem", in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The plant blends fertilizers, agrochemicals, and public health insecticides, which are marketed  and sold by Astra Agricultural in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East .

Astrachem applies the latest technology in the fertilizer blending and pesticide formulation.

Its factory sprawling over an area of 20,000 m 2 , is located in the 2nd Dammam Industrial City of Dammam in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia . Astrachem maintains the highest standards of professionalism by employing a well trained, highly qualified and experienced team of 150 multinational staff.

Production Lines:

The company has four production and packaging lines and one powder filling line:

1. Insecticides / Fungicides production line:

A complete production and filling facility for the production of insecticides and fungicides. It can be used to produce Emulsifiable Concentrates (EC), Ultra Low Volume (ULV) and Soluble Liquid (SL) formulations. It includes two automatic filling lines: one line for filling 0.5 - 1.0 liters packs and the other for filling 5, 10, 20 and 25 liters packs. (Capacity = 2.000 MT/year).

2. Herbicides production line:

Very similar to the previous insecticides/fungicides production line. However, it is housed in a separate building to avoid contamination problems. This line includes two semi-automatic filling lines, which are used for filling 1.0, 5.0, 10.0, 20.0 and 25.0 liters packs. (Capacity = 2.000 MT/year).

3. Fluid fertilizers production line:

A production line for both liquid and suspension formulas. It is equipped with a fluidizing system, to produce high quality liquid and suspension fertilizers. The packaging line of this unit can be used to pack liquid and suspension fertilizers in 1.0 - 25.0 liters packs. (Capacity = 2.000 MT/year).

4. Soluble powder fertilizers blending Line:

A fully automated computer operated facility. It is used for the production of soluble powder blends, which may include up to six different components and eight microelements. This line is capable of packing blends in different sized bags.

(Capacity = 6.000 MT/year). 

5. Powder filling line:

A line for re-packing powder agrochemical formulations.
